Hi guys, I’m Jessica Leigh Sullivan! Want to get to know the weirdo behind the words you read? Here’s your chance!
Above are pictures of me.
I am currently attending Auburn University (War Eagle!) and I’m trying to obtain a degree in creative writing and a minor in art. So far I love all that I have been able to create. Each one takes skills and time to create and perfect, but I love it too much to give up. Although, it tends to be hard considering I’m a perfectionist and don’t have patience, but in it’s worth it.
I love writing, drawing, coffee, Netflix, my family, friends, reading, food and cats. The order can differ on any given day, but I do love it all the same.
I’ll be the first to say I write like I talk, this can be annoying at times since I was born and raised in a small town in Mobile, Al. Nothing is wrong with the people or the schools, but let’s face it growing up around southern slang tends to rub off on the way we speak. Trust me, I’m trying to run faster than deer when it hears a gunshot out of this town. It’s not that I don’t love it here, I do, but I believe there are better things out in the world. Back to the point, I might not have the best grammar in the world, but that doesn’t mean I’m not working to improve on it.
If you made it this far, I love you. Don’t lose hope I will get better at this! If you check out any of my posts you will notice I don’t have a certain topic. I write what I need to get off my chest or something that comes to mind. From my first post, you can see I have anxiety and I’m still working on dealing with it, and I hope to write more helpful things like that for people. I also plan on sharing my short stories and artwork and I hope you enjoy it. I want this to be a look inside my mind. Now, I’m not saying this is exactly what’s going on, but from the randomness of the topics I hope you can tell. I might also get a little distracted while writing. I tend to try and fit every detail into a story. I know, I know. Show don’t tell!
So without any delay, read! I hope you like poking around inside my brain. If you have questions or want to talk don’t be afraid to contact me.
